Depression

Most individuals at some time may feel depressed, you feel miserable, and you are sad and anxious.   
This feeling can come from a broken relationship, the loss of your job/career, an accident, death or miscarriage, loneliness , getting older. 


This feeling is normal, but it is the length of time that your depression continues on for, that can be a cause for concern. 


There may be many symptoms when one feels depressed, and they can be – 

 

 

  • Consistently feeling low, sad and it’s hopeless 

  • Losing interest in what pleases you 

  • Disturbed sleep 

  • Thinking about death - having lost someone 

  • Become emotional and/or teary 

  • Reduction in sex drive 

  • Apathy – not wanting to get up in the morning.
